I just found out that Dave Ellefson, bassist and co-founder of Megadeth is going to be releasing a new book in March called Unsung.
According to Loudwire.com the book will feature Dave’s lyrics set to images rather than to music:
“As a musician, my past lyrical work has always been set to music,” Ellefson says about ‘Unsung.’ “But, with this new book I set out to explore a new medium using both words and images as the canvas for an exciting new mosaic of storytelling.”
Ellefson‘s own site is a little more telling revealing that the book will feature never before published lyrics and images. In a different twist, Ellefson is allowing his lyrics to be used along with music created by his fans – giving them the chance to co-create with him.
This will be Ellefson’s first self-published book, he also wrote a book called Making Music Your Business: A Guide for Young Musicians back in 1997.
